First Generation Celebration

Join us to celebrate the current and former First Generation students in our Adelphi community. In addition to recognizing the accomplishments of being the first in their family to attend college, we will also have Poet Joseph Capehart, a First Generation student themselves, perform some of their work and present a workshop on authentic storytelling. Participants will be encouraged to talk openly about their college access story and celebrate the work that it took to get a degree. 

Whether you are a First Generation Student yourself or you believe in supporting our First Generation students, all are welcome.
