The Safe Zone program identifies and supports students, faculty and staff who identify as a Safe Zone advocate on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community. Through education, advocacy and awareness, they will be empowered to speak out against homophobia and heterosexism. The program’s goal is to contribute to an open campus climate that is safe, accepting and just for all members of the University community.

This workshop is being offered as part of Fall Leadership Week to empower our student leaders to run successful and engaging organizations. Attendance at Fall Leadership Week is required to remain in good standing with SOAP. Two executive board members must attend the University Policies/SOAP workshops and 2 different individuals must attend 2 additional workshops of their choosing.  Of course, the more the merrier if you’d like to attend more! You must submit a Path form after the week listing the workshops you attended to receive credit. If you have any questions please email your CSI advisor and they will be happy to assist!
