Drive Out Hunger Event

Drive Out Hunger is hosting “Long Island-tines Day” on Feb 13th. Our goal is to make this day about spreading a greater sense of unity, togetherness, love, and community across Long Island. From covid to political and social unease, we thought that it was important to remind Long Islander’s that love and goodness still exists in our world, despite the seemingly never ending bad. We simply wish to highlight positivity, even if it’s for one day. 

With the help of MANY volunteers, schools, and organizations, Drive Out Hunger is planning an island-wide food drive and distribution event for those struggling with food insecurity. Distribution will be done via drive-through pickup sites and home delivery. Boxes of food will include Valentine’s Day cards made by students throughout Nassau and Suffolk County schools
