A workshop for Adelphi University faculty facilitated by Chris Barnes, Digital Publishing Librarian.

Scholars have many options for sharing information about themselves and their work online. Websites like ORCiD and Academia.edu, databases like Scopus and Google Scholar, and even Scholarly Works, Adelphi’s institutional repository, offer the ability to create personal profiles which distinguish researchers from one another and provide authoritative lists of their work.

This workshop will provide an overview of the different scholarly identity platforms, look more closely at a few of the more popular ones, and demonstrate how to use them to increase the visibility of your scholarship. We will also discuss how to use Scholarly Works to save and share previously unpublished work like conference presentations, which can then be added to your online profiles.
