High school students can get a firsthand look at multiple healthcare careers to help decide which path sparks excitement.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the many paths within healthcare. Through interactive workshops, professional shadowing, and nationally recognized certifications, you’ll gain practical skills and clarity about your next steps.

Throughout this one week program, rising 9th–12th graders explore fields such as nursing, pre-med, psychology, exercise science, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and social work—learning directly from Adelphi faculty and practicing professionals.

Key Benefits

  • Hands-on certifications: CPR certification plus training in NARCAN and “Stop the Bleed.”
  • Hospital shadowing: Observe healthcare professionals in action and learn what their work looks like day to day.
  • Advising session: Guidance from Adelphi’s Office of Pre-Professional Advising on preparing for medical school and other advanced healthcare pathways.
  • Healthcare career exploration: Meet nurses, physicians, psychologists, SLPs, and social workers and hear first-hand about their educational and career trajectories

  • Cost: $1,000 (includes required materials, supplies, and participation in on-campus summer activities)
