Black Poetry Day
Event Actions
In celebration of Black Poetry Day, we ask participants to read poetry from the library’s collection or their own poetry.
We encourage our Black students, staff and faculty to read thoughtful and respectful pieces of original writing. We are honoring the powerful contributions of Black poets throughout history. Delve into the richness of Black Poetry by exploring themes of identity, equity, joy, and social justice.
Sign-up at the front desk of Swirbul Library for a timeslot to read a poem during the event.
