Are You Current On Current Events?

Politics, international issues, businesses, taxes, local issues…there is a lot to be current on: are you? Leaders need a wide field of vision, including current events, as these events have a direct impact on all organizations. Not sure how to stay up-to-date with your busy schedule? Mark Fogel, Adelphi University professor and Human Resources industry expert, will explore how in this interactive presentation.
Mark Fogel’s background includes over a decade as the Chief Human Resource Officer at Leviton, the Marcum group and the Success Academy CMO as well as co-founding Human Capital 3.0, a boutique HR advisory firm. He has been honored by The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) nationally as their Human Capital Leader of the Year in 2007, and by HR Executive Magazine as an Honor Roll recipient in 2010 and “Best HR Ideas” in 2012. He has also been a recipient of SHRM’s innovation in a down economy award in 2009, Adelphi University’s Teaching Excellence award in 2013, and named one of Long Island’s 50 most influential business leaders by Long Island Business News. His HR teams have garnished numerous national and local awards for HR innovation, wellness and employee engagement.
The Leadership Certificate Program (LCP) offers Adelphi undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills. Participants attend workshops on a wide variety of topics during the course of the year.

Requirements for Students:
To participate in the Leadership Certificate Program, you must RSVP and attend a minimum of six workshops. Each student must complete the workshops within the academic year.
