A Staged Reading of ‘A Christmas Carol’ (with livestream)
Event Actions
Our beloved annual holiday event returns for another season.
This show will also be live streamed on our YouTube Channel for those who are unable to attend in person. Click here to be taken to the event on YouTube.
In 1843, Charles Dickens’ novella A Christmas Carol was published, and the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge has touched the heart of readers and audiences ever since. Every holiday season, Adelphi University’s department of Theatre brings the Victorian classic to the stage as it would have been performed in a radio studio in the 1930s, as a dramatic reading. There’s no charge, but if you are able, please bring a can or box of nonperishable food to be donated in the holiday spirit to the Mary Brennan Interfaith Nutrition Network Food Kitchen in Hempstead.
The livestream is generously sponsored by the Adelphi Women’s Giving Circle.
