Bring Joy to an Older Neighbor through the 9/11 Day of Service Package Delivery!
When you volunteer to deliver a care package of treats and connect with an older neighbor for a visit or call, you can make their day – and yours!
Give a little time, make a big impact. Join volunteers from across the country in commemorating 9/11 through communal service.
How it works:
- Register at www.dorotusa.org/911packagedelivery
- Pick up a package
- Deliver the package to a senior in Manhattan
- Connect with the senior for a friendly call or visit
Pre-registration and valid U.S. government-issued photo ID are required. All volunteers must wear masks for the duration of the program.
DATES & PACKAGE PICK-UP LOCATIONS:
Sunday, September 11
East Side: 10:00 am – 12:40 pm —Moise Safra Center (130 E. 82nd Street)
West Side: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm — DOROT (171 W. 85th Street)
Students are to provide their own transportation. Transportation from Adelphi University will not be provided.
