Lana Belasic Bansen

Senior Entertainment Designer for the Northwest Group in Roslyn, NY

Lana Belasic Bansen, a Queens native, is a Graphic Designer by day and a reality TV connoisseur by night. With over 8 years of hands-on experience, she has designed thousands of highly successful and marketable products for companies such as Disney and Warner Brothers. When she is not working, she is hanging out with her husband, and working on being an Instagram momager for her cat @walter.whitepaws.

Octavia James ’11

Octavia James

Educator and School Founder

Octavia James is an experienced high school Visual Arts Teacher for the NYC Department of Education at the Brooklyn Community High School for Excellence and Equity. In her eight-year tenure, her continued goal is to diversify the school’s art education curriculum, compose engaging learning experiences for students, and expose them to various visual art-making mediums while fostering literacy opportunities in art content. In addition to her role as an arts educator, Octavia notably collaborates with the school’s College Director as a trained instructor of Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)—a course that supports senior students and families with the college application and FAFSA process while equipping them with the tools and skills necessary to close the achievement gap and prepare students for post-secondary success.

MaryEllen Hackett ’10

Maryellen Hackett

Landscape Artist and Painter

MaryEllen Hackett is an artist and park ranger. In 2010, she graduated from Adelphi University with a BFA in painting and printmaking. Her artwork has been shown nationally. Hackett has received artist in residence positions at Joshua Tree National Park in CA, the Vermont Studio Center, Weir Farm National Historic Site in CT, and Fire Island National Seashore in NY. IN 2016 MaryEllen was given the title of Centennial Artist Ambassador from Weir Farm National Historic Site for the National Park Service Centennial. Currently based out of the Sierra Mountains.

Tim Mearini ’08

Tim Mearini

Animator and Illustrator

Tim Mearini is a New York City based digital artist and designer specializing in motion design and visual effects. He has years of experience working professionally as both a remote freelancer and an in-house artist at studios and agencies within NYC. He has collaborated to produce work for such clients as Cadillac, Honda, Jaguar, Maybelline, Lane Crawford, Old Navy, Sony Music, and the USMC.
