1984 Remembrance Event

This is an online event is a collaboration event with Columbia University Sewa and Stony Brook Sikh Student Association on the events of 1984, the genocide of the Sikh Community. This event will be an educational discussion addressing the state sanctioned violence that proceeded and followed the 1984 Sikh Genocide, and how the traumas from that period continue to manifest themselves in our lives today. We aim to provide a space to engage in community based healing and reflection, as well as an opportunity for our peers to educate themselves on an event that still effects the Sikh population today.
