Prerequisite: spa 112 or equivalent Students continue to practice what they learned in Level II and focus on more advanced characteristics of the language and culture through a communicative/participatory approach. (Learning Goals:CO,G) (Learning Goals:CO,G) A communicative approach to the basic elements of the language including listening, speaking, reading and writing, and culture. The students will acquire more advanced skills to enable them to move on to more advanced levels of Spanish. The student will be able to express opinions, will learn to talk about what will happen, has happened and what could happen. The student will learn to express feelings, emotions, volition, to express conjectures and all aspects of the subjunctive as well as the compound future and conditional tenses. The student will also learn to express how long something has been going on or how long ago it was completed. The student will be exposed to cultural information on a target country or region, along with activities designed to develop student’s reading and writing skills.
