Students learn through a communicative / participatory approach to the basic elements of the language, including listening, speaking, reading, writing and culture. (Learning Goals:G) (Learning Goals:G)

Learning Goals:

To assist the student in acquiring a degree of proficiency in various skills required to communicate in and comprehend another language. All skills will receive attention, although speaking will be emphasized throughout the semester. The student will be able to use all skills simply in the present and future tenses, to talk about themselves and their preferences, needs and interests. The students will be expected to greet others, introduce themselves and handle basic social situations. Throughout the semester, the student will be exposed to cultural information on a target country or region, along with activities designed to develop student’s reading, speaking, listening and writing skills.
