SPE 356: Clinical Practice In Speech Language Pathology

Students will participate in supervised clinical practice in the Hy Weinberg Center for Communication Disorders at Adelphi University. Classes will focus on therapeutic interventions and reflective practice.

COURSE OBJECTIVESBy the end of this course, students will: participate in clinical practicum in speech-language pathology comply with the policies and procedures of the Hy Weinberg Center for Communication Disorders apply principles of treatment of communication disorders in the clinical setting and write professional reports in the field of speech- language pathology take an active role in the learning process toward the goal of becoming a lifelong learner• evaluate her own clinical skills
