Suicidal Ideation and Self-Injurious Behaviors: Assessment and Treatment
Event Actions
This training provides clinicians with practical tools for assessing and treating suicidal ideation and self-injurious behaviors with minor and adult clients.
Participants will learn how to strengthen therapeutic rapport to support safety and trust, respond effectively to disclosures, and conduct immediate and ongoing risk assessments. This presenter will review strategies for developing collaborative safety plans, implementing coping and replacement skills, and involving caregivers appropriately in the treatment process as needed.

Faculty Biography

Jaimee Arnoff, Ph.D.
Jaimee Arnoff, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience specializing in evidence-based treatment for adolescents and young adults at risk for suicide and self-harm across hospital settings, residential treatment centers, and community mental health clinics. In addition to her private practice in Beacon, NY, Dr. Arnoff serves as the staff psychologist for James’s Warriors, a not-for-profit dedicated to youth mental health and suicide prevention, where she delivers workshops and trainings in schools, colleges, and community organizations across New York. A recognized trainer and speaker, Dr. Arnoff has developed and presented numerous professional education programs on suicide assessment and intervention for national and regional audiences. She is also a frequent podcast guest, sharing practical strategies that strengthen resilience, safety, and hope for high-risk youth.
IMPORTANT: To receive approved continuing education credits, participants must attend the entire training or workshop and submit a completed evaluation form.

Cancellation Policy
Please note that we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made within seven business days of the event or for no-shows. However, if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance, we can issue a credit toward a future workshop. No credit will be provided for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event.
