Please join the Café Photovoice artists and project team as they share how photography and storytelling was used to describe recovery, resilience and growth.

Learn about the importance of advocacy for community-based mental health services.
This special event will include a walk-through of the Café Photovoice exhibit, which is installed in the UC Gallery, and a panel discussion with the artists and other members of the project team.
Café Photovoice is a research project that uses photography and storytelling to illuminate the lived experiences of persons in mental health and substance use recovery.
The artists and project team will share personal stories of recovery, resilience and growth. They will discuss the importance of community-based mental health services and advocacy for their continuation.
The exhibit is on display in the UC Gallery from August 25 through September 20, 2025.
