This workshop introduces faculty to the principles of backward design and the process of developing SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) learning objectives. Participants will learn how to align objectives with instructional activities and assessments to foster coherent, learner-centered experiences. The session will also explore how generative AI tools can assist in drafting objectives, designing aligned activities, and streamlining the overall planning process.
