Essay Topic

Personal Growth in your Undergraduate Years

In an essay, please write about your growth in the areas of citizenship, leadership and scholarship during your time at Adelphi. This growth can include on or off campus involvement; just explain how these areas were integrated into your personal growth while you were an Adelphi student.

Criteria for Essay Submission

Each entrant must be an Adelphi University undergraduate senior in good standing who graduated in December 2025, May or August 2026?.

Format

The essay should be typed, double spaced with 1-inch margins in 500 words or less. Download the essay using the Essay Upload field that follows. Include your Adelphi Student ID number only in the top left corner of your submitted essay.

Recognition of a Parent or Family Member That Contributed to Your Journey to Successfully Graduate from Adelphi University

In an essay, please write about how your parent/guardian contributed to your journey towards a successful graduation from Adelphi University.

Criteria for Essay Submission

The nominee must be the parent or family member of an Adelphi senior, December 2025, May or August 2026. (Under rare and special circumstances, the nominee may be someone other than a parent or family member if that person has made a great contribution to the student’s college career. The Parents and Families Association board will review these nominations on a case-by-case basis.
