How to Scan for Channels

In order to properly set up your TV, you may need to scan for available channels accessible through the TV provider to make them viewable on the TV. Please follow the steps below to ensure proper setup.

  • Connecting a TV to the Wall Jack
Connect the coaxial cable from the wall to the back of the TV.
  • Scanning for TV Channels
Once the coaxial cable is connected, you need to perform the channel scan on the TV.

Depending on the type and model of the TV, you will need to go into the MENU and find either a SETUP or CHANNELS section (This is different for every TV but each one should have a variation of these settings in it).

In this menu, you need to be sure that the scan is set to CABLE.

Once CABLE is selected, select SCAN. This process will usually take a couple of minutes.

If you are missing channels

Some TVs do not have the proper tuner to scan for Digital channels.

If your TV is not on this list, and you are still experiencing missing channels/poor channel reception, report this issue to the Help Desk and a technician will be sent over.
