Date & Time: October 5 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Location: Performing Arts Center 215

To celebrate Psychology Club’s favorite holiday, we will host a meeting dedicated to World Mental Health Day! This day occurs on October 10th each year, and our meeting is a fantastic way to bring awareness to and advocate for the importance of caring for one’s mental health. We will be highlighting key aspects about this day, the Crisis Text Line, and Adelphi’s partnership with them during this meeting, as well as discussing volunteer opportunities with the organization. To support our members in caring for their mental health, we will provide them with meditation cards which feature different prompts to meditate with as a form of self-care. We will also be giving out free pens that are themed around mental health awareness, as well as small crochet animals that provide meaningful and uplifting words of encouragement! These giveaways will allow us to help our members care for their mental health and inspire them to advocate for their peers as well.
