Event Actions
The Center for Student and Community Engagement is offering the Adelphi community the chance to participate in our Panther Day of Service.
The goal of the service event is to give back to the communities that surround Adelphi University.
Interact with students, staff, and faculty while visiting various locations completing projects. Faculty, staff and students are able to connect on a different level outside of the classroom and office working on projects together to better the community.

Registration is first-come, first-served. Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate!
Community Service Options
Bethany’s House
10:00am – 1:00pm

- Must provide your own transportation
- Check-in: 9:00am
Students will help organize the organization’s basement, and check through the pantry to make sure there is no expired food.
Momma’s House
10:00am – 12:00pm
3100 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown NY
- 15 spots available
- Must provide your own transportation
- Check-in: 9:00am
Students will help send out mailings for the organization’s dinner dance. They will fold, address, and label mailings.
Island Harvest
10:00am – 1:00pm
95 Old Country Road, Carle Place, NY

Students will collect donated canned goods from patrons walking into/out of the grocery store. All cans must be brought back to the SCE Office, in the UC 123.
Panther Pantry
12:00pm-2:00pm
Located on Campus

Students will help with a deep clean of the pantry.
Community Garden

Students will remove overgrown weeds and help harvest.
