Learn how to use this lifesaving skill to prevent an opioid overdose. Seating for these trainings is very limited and an RSVP is required. This event is free and open to anyone at Adelphi. All participants will receive their own Narcan kit and certificate of completion. RSVP to aod@adelphi.edu.

Our facilitators are Kathleen Coletta, LCSW-R and Alexis Van Wart, LMSW. They come to us from YES Community Counseling Center; a community based organization providing treatment and prevention services to communities in central and southeast Nassau County. The PACT Project (Partnering in Action Changing Tomorrow) is a federal prevention Grant awarded to YES Community Counseling Center with the overall goal to reduce underage drinking and substance use in youth ages 9-20 in the communities we serve.

Narcan training is a part of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Month. Cosponsors: Adelphi University Student Nursing Association, Delta Sigma Pi, Japanese Entertainment & Culture Club, Paws Web Radio, Center for Student and Community Engagement, and the Student Counseling Center.
