Honors college students only. This course will examine medieval texts (Volsunga Saga, Niebelungenlied, "Prioress's Tale,” etc.), and then compare them with 18th - 20th century reinterpretations, along with those reinterpretations' focus on race, specifically, recreating the Middle Ages as a white-centered space.
