DSC 573: Management Information Systems And Business Analytics

This course explores the technical and informational sides of technology, and how it is used to improve efficiency and increase value. The ethics of technology usage will be explored and cross cultural implications will be examined. This course also examines the consequences of change through case studies.

Learning Goals

Course Goals: As a result of taking his course, the goal to be achieved is the ability to assess the role of technology in businesses from the perspective of information creation and use, data analysis, systems implementation, systems communication, and systems personnel via the use of case studies and the study of information system paradigms. It is important that managers can create a calculus of implementation against a back drop of understanding MIS.
