Learn how the discipline of emergency management applies science and technology, planning, risk analysis, and management in dealing with dangerously large and complex events that have the potential to kill and injure large numbers of people, do extensive property damage, and destroy our economic and physical infrastructure. 1. Examine and evaluate the discipline of comprehensive emergency management and the integrated emergency management system;2. Understand the application and implementation of science and technology into the four phases of emergency management;3. Define, analyze and apply research findings to a crisis and multi-organizational emergency management strategies;4.
