AI-Active Learning Techniques: Engaging Students in Online and Blended Environments
Event Actions
Active learning invites students to think, discuss, practice, and apply ideas rather than passively receive information.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how generative AI tools can be thoughtfully paired with active learning strategies to support meaningful student interaction, deepen understanding, and sustain engagement, especially in online and hybrid courses.
Together, we’ll look at evidence-based active learning approaches and consider where AI can add value without replacing sound pedagogy. Through concrete examples and discussion, participants will examine learning activities that use AI to prompt analysis, reflection, collaboration, and feedback. The session is designed to be practical and flexible, with ideas you can adapt to your own courses right away.
