We are hosting a Decoden Making Night, a fun and creative event inspired by the popular Japanese crafting trend that focuses on decorating personal accessories with colorful embellishments. Participants will have the opportunity to customize items such as claw clips, hair clips, mirrors, picture frames, small hair brushes, and other accessories using materials like resin charms, slime charms, pearls, and miniature figurines. This hands-on activity allows students to express their individuality and creativity through intricate, kawaii-inspired designs. The term “Decoden” blends “deco” (decoration) and “denwa” (phone), reflecting its origins in phone customization before expanding to a variety of accessories. Rooted in East Asian aesthetics, Decoden embraces vibrant, eye-catching styles that emphasize personalization and self-expression. Our event will provide a social and engaging atmosphere where participants can explore this unique art form while learning about its cultural significance. This event promises to be a memorable and interactive experience, fostering creativity, connection, and artistic exploration.
