Join the SPARK Center for a special student reception celebrating the accomplishments of all Adelphi Student Scholars. Our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Lombardo (Adelphi ’75), will present inspirations, fears, and anecdotes of an Adelphi student traversing through a career in medicine.
Our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Joseph Lombardo (Adelphi ’75) will honor this special event by his presentation: “The Journey Home: Adelphi As The Impetus For My Medical Career.”
From a phone booth in a high school lobby, to the subterranean labs in the science building, to the autopsy tables of pathology, to the virology lab of a university medical center, the author provides a series of illustrative anecdotes that present the formative events of an Adelphi student, which ultimately led to a career in medicine and scientific/clinical research.
