Adelphi University hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of its new Nexus Building on December 12 which features an open floor plan with modern classrooms, energy-efficient systems and clinical simulation, research and informatics labs.

Dr. Jacqueline Rose Hott passed away. In 1946, she became a clinical instructor in psychiatric nursing at the NYU Medical School, which led to her professional career as professor and dean at Adelphi University, then executive director of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Nurses Association.

Beloved mother, grandmother and community woman passes

Nina Friedberg passed on November 30 at the age of 92. One of her proudest achievements was attending the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps at Adelphi University, where she graduated in 1944. Eleanor Roosevelt spoke at her graduation.
