Danielle Zach, a professor of political science at Adelphi University, talked to Newsday about UN peace talks on Syria planned. She said the Security Council’s inability to reach consensus on Syria has allowed the situation in the razed cities of Syria to reach an intractable point.

Newsday reported that Adelphi athletics was awarded the 2012-13 Northeast-10 Conference President’s Cup, presented annually to the institution that collects the most cumulative points based on standings in the regular season from all of its programs competing in league championships. This is a great retirement present for retiring Athletic Director, Robert Hartwell who served Adelphi University for 26 years.

The announcement of the appointment of the new Athletic Director at Adelphi University by President Dr. Robert Scott was reported on Garden City Patch. Danny McCabe the next director of athletics and campus recreation at Adelphi, begins his tenure July 8.

Business Insider ranked Adelphi University #18 in The 25 Most Underrated Colleges In America, They wrote, Adelphi is the oldest higher education institution located on Long Island, in New York State. It has been named a “best buy” by the Fiske Guide to Colleges.
On WNYC’s The Takeaway podcast, the Movie Date show, featured recent Adelphi University graduate Scott Gordon as a guest talking about the release of the movie World War Z starring Brad Pitt.
