Getting Started in Research as an Undergraduate Student
Event Actions
Students who are interested in Guided Research and Creative Works will learn how to find an interesting research project and a faculty member to serve as their research advisor.
Please come and learn from the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Works (OURCW). A variety of questions will be answered to demystify undergraduate research, for example:
- What are the benefits of participating in research/creative works?
- How do I find an interesting research project that will serve my long-term professional goals?
- How do I find a research advisor?
- How to apply to join a research project?
- Do I qualify to do research?
- Can I do research for credit?
- Can I get paid to do research?
The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Works (OURCW) is to support students and faculty in performing inquiry-driven, creative research projects and participating in global scholarly discussions about nationally and internationally important topics.
This event is part of the OURCW seminar series.
