Date & Time: May 14 11:00am – 1:00pm
Location: Hagedorn Hall Parking Lot

All members of the Adelphi community are welcome to bring old and unwanted electronic equipment—and drop them off for free, environmentally conscious recycling.

The Office of Information Technology will be hosting their bi-annual eCycle Day where students and staff can drop off electronics to be appropriately recycled.

A pile of old technology including wires, mouse, hard drives, computer chips and other electronic waste.

Why is Recycling Technology Important?

Help us eliminate used electronic products and/or components from our landfills. When e-waste is thrown away, it contaminates the waste stream. The heavy metals can leach into our soil and then into our underground water supply, causing severe and even life-threatening illnesses.

Dropoff Locations

Technology recycling company ITAMG will be on the Garden City campus with a recycling truck. This truck will be in the parking lot area directly in front of Hagedorn Hall.

An additional drop location will be available to the community in the Lower Level of Hagedorn Hall on Friday, May 10 and Monday, May 13 from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
