Addressing the Mental Health Wellness of Our Students

This year’s conference will focus on navigating the current and changing Social Emotional Learning needs of students and implementing tools for Counselors and mental health wellness for all. Join us to build a roadmap for success.

As is our NCA/CAP tradition, raffles and giveaways will be awarded in each session.

This year’s guest speakers

Nicole Sullivan, LCSW CCTP CASAC-T

Nicole is a licensed clinical social worker. She completed the Accelerated Master’s of Social Work from Adelphi University after obtaining a Bachelors’ degree in Biology from Quinnipiac University. Following the completion of her Master’s, she completed her CASAC at Adelphi University which has allowed her to specialize in the treatment of substance use disorders. She also completed a specialization in trauma and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Nicole is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and currently works at Adelphi University within the Institute for Adolescent Trauma, Treatment, and Training in addition to private practice. She is EMDR trained and Adjunct Professor as well as a Ph.D. Student studying the effects of trauma on those within the helping profession. She has trained thousands of professionals on various topics within mental health and is excited to be a part of this workshop.

Tiffany Belferder, HOS

Tiffany is the Head of School at Fusion Academy Long Island, prior to joining the world of education, she is a licensed & practiced therapist primarily with adolescent in inpatient hospital settings. Combining her social emotional expertise into the world of education, Tiffany is dedicated to empowering growth of those around her. Tiffany is also a mother of 2 young children.

Anthony Riccardo, AD

Currently Anthony is inspiring teachers and students as an Academic Director at Fusion Academy Long Island. He began as a NYC Teaching Fellow, Anthony is a Science Teacher with Superintendents School District License and he realizes now, more than ever, teachers need to be better prepared and supported to in turn work with our most precious resource, the young minds of our children. Anthony is a parent of 2 school aged children.
