Adelphi alumna, Heidi Peña Ortiz and Adelphi professor, Luda Bryzzheva discuss their mentoring relationship: being strangers, growing beyond, exploring power and the attending responsibility to self and strangers.
Heidi works as a community educator for a Relationship Abuse Prevention Program through the NYC mayor’s office initiative to end Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Luda Bryzzheva is a professor of bilingual and multicultural education at the College of Education and Health Science. Both also facilitate with the Center for Racial Justice in Education.
