Date & Time: May 2 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Location: Swirbul Library, Room 5S

University Libraries and the Library Diversity Council have partnered with the global Human Library® Organization to sponsor this special event at Adelphi University.

Join us for Adelphi’s Human Library event and discover the power of personal storytelling to promote understanding and connection.

The Human Library is a concept born in Denmark through which people are “on loan” as human books and readers have an opportunity to ask questions about their lived experiences and listen to their stories first-hand.

Questions are expected, appreciated and answered by the human books. Human stories are discovered. Personal journeys are revealed.

To volunteer as a human book, please sign up by April 5, 2024.

Capacity for readers is limited, so please register in advance by April 30, 2024, to read the unique Human Books on our shelf.
