Congratulations graduate on your outstanding achievement in completing your time at university. As an Education Major, you will certainly have many opportunities to pursue your passion for teaching as the need for teachers has never been greater nationally.
My name is Dr. Justin Helm and I am writing to you about the opportunity that I have for you in the Hendry County School District (HCSD), located in Florida. Hendry County is located in Southwest Florida, midway between Fort Myers and West Palm Beach. We are only one hour from the beach to the west, and two hours due south of Orlando, two hours northeast of Miami, and two hours southeast of Tampa. Most importantly we have an extremely supportive and growing community with great students, families, and community partners.
I am reaching out to you because we are seeking passionate educators to complement our already strong instructional staff. In Hendry County, we believe in empowering and supporting our teachers and allowing them to use their creativity and innovative approaches in their classrooms. At our schools, we do not tolerate any disruptive behavior or actions that interfere with the learning process. As a result, our students are very respectful and academically focused. Our teachers report feeling that they are valued and members of a team.
We have many teachers from out of state and out of county They may come down initially for the Florida sunshine but they stay because of the wonderful schools, administrators, teaching staff, and students of Hendry County. We are looking for teachers interested in joining our family
at all levels: Elementary, Middle, and High School. Our teacher’s starting salary is currently $50,000.00 with additional hiring bonuses and stipends available. We also have a partnership with a local university in place that allows you to pursue your Master’s Degree free of charge.
Our district also meets the federal requirements for the Student Loan Forgiveness Program.
