Date & Time: November 29, 2022 3:45pm – 4:45pm
Location: Swirbul Library

Please join us for a celebration and discussion of the work of Indigenous poet Tommy Pico.

We will read poems from the 2017 collection Nature Poem, in which Tommy Pico considers and resists stereotypes regarding Native peoples and their relationship to the natural world. These poems also explore how Pico’s queerness relates to his identity as an American Indian and vice versa. Nature Poem will be available through the University Libraries. Print copies will be placed on reserve at the Library, and additional, limited copies will be available for purchase in our bookstore. Everyone is welcome.

Refreshments will be served.
