Awarded by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. $60,000 grant provides scholarship monies to ten NYC police officers, already trained as peer-support officers for the Police Organization Providing Peer Assistance (POPPA),thereby allowing them to attend the Addiction Specialist Certificate Program which leads to the Certificate Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Credential.
