As a mathematics educator, I strive to create inclusive and supportive spaces where students from all backgrounds can thrive and see themselves as capable mathematical thinkers. My teaching challenges the dominant pop culture narrative of mathematics as a field reserved for isolated geniuses by emphasizing collaboration, creativity, and the diverse ways people engage with mathematical ideas. Through culturally responsive pedagogy and a commitment to equity, I aim to help students build confidence, find meaning in mathematics, and recognize its power to describe and transform the world around them
