Personal Statement

Biography Summary:

I have extensive international academic and industrial experience. My research, teaching and mentoring is in business decision modeling related to information technologies. Research efforts are interdisciplinary embracing management science, communication systems and cooperative game theory. With over 60 research papers I made significant contributions to various aspects of network design. Primary focus of my work lies in the design and optimization of hub networks, as well as the development of fair cost allocation schemes in communication networks.

My research has been published in prestigious scientific journals such as Management Science, European Journal of Operational Research, Computers and Operations Research, Annals of Operations Research, Operations Research Letters, Networks, Discrete Applied Mathematics, and SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, among others.

I am a recipient of a number of awards and grants, including grants from the USA National Science Foundation, a Fulbright Award, the Professor Recognition Award, and the Excellence in Faculty Scholarship and Creative Work Award from Adelphi University.

I have served as an associate editor for several prestigious journals, including Electronic Commerce and Telecommunication Systems.
