The Bhis\u00e9 Global Learning Experience (BGLE) prepares Adelphi students for success in a global workforce through a two-week immersive study tour in India. Established through the generosity of Bharat Bhis\u00e9, MBA \u201978, and his wife, Swati Bhis\u00e9<\/a>, the program is preceded by a fall-semester course introducing students to India\u2019s history, culture and contemporary society.<\/p>\n

In India, students visit businesses, nonprofit organizations, healthcare facilities and educational institutions, engaging with local leaders and students. They also experience India\u2019s rich culture through concerts, dance performances and visits to sites of historical, cultural and religious significance. <\/span>These experiences encourage students to reflect on India\u2019s cultural and social diversity, while deepening their understanding of global interconnections. <\/span>These experiences are made possible through the Bhis\u00e9 family\u2019s <\/span>longstanding connections, which provide students with meaningful access to a wide range of organizations and leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Young people must be exposed to different countries and cultures to broaden their horizons and gain new perspectives. It’s a critical part of being able to succeed in today’s world,” says Mr. Bhis<\/span>\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bhis\u00e9 Global Learning Experience is open to Adelphi juniors and seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, open-mindedness and a genuine curiosity about the world. The study tour takes place each January, and participants are selected through a competitive application process.
