At least 10 proposals are required from an undergraduate community like ours.<\/p>\n<h2>Flight Experiment Competition Process<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Team proposal development: <\/strong><span style=\"\">Student teams design original microgravity experiments and submit formal research proposals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Two-step proposal review: <\/strong><span style=\"\">Every proposal is evaluated through a formal review process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>National Step 2 Review Board:<\/strong><span style=\"\"> Final selection is made by the SSEP National Step 2 Review Board.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>NASA flight safety review:<\/strong><span style=\"\"> The selected experiment undergoes safety review with NASA Johnson Space Center and Rhodium Scientific.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Laboratory refinement:<\/strong><span style=\"\"> The student flight team refines the experiment design for flight readiness.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Payload integration:<\/strong><span style=\"\"> The experiment is handed off to Rhodium Scientific in Houston, TX, and integrated into the spaceflight hardware and bundled with the SSEP experiments payload for launch.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Launch:<\/strong><span style=\"\"> The payload launches from NASA&#8217;s Kennedy Space Center aboard a SpaceX rocket, bound for the ISS.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span>Experience the entire lifecycle of professional research, from proposal to launch to data analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Details about how to enter will be made available shortly.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mission Adelphi Call for Proposals Getting an experiment to the International Space Station starts the same way real space research does: with a competitive call for proposals.
