{"id":590,"date":"2023-08-03T10:51:15","date_gmt":"2023-08-03T14:51:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/provost\/?page_id=590"},"modified":"2024-10-25T13:09:59","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T17:09:59","slug":"ai-task-force","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/provost\/faculty-information\/faculty-support-and-development\/ai-task-force\/","title":{"rendered":"AI Faculty Senate Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The multidisciplinary Artificial Intelligence (AI) Task Force was established by the Office of the Provost to identify opportunities for AI to be used in teaching and research, develop a strategic plan for AI at Adelphi University, raise awareness of AI among faculty members and students, and ensure that AI is used ethically and responsibly.<\/p>\n<p>The task force, chaired by Associate Professor <strong>A. Hasan Sapci, MD<\/strong>, comprises several faculty members and staff who are responsible for overseeing, planning, implementing, and managing academic programs, research, student services, and administrative processes.<\/p>\n<p>In March, the task force presented its first report on the \u201cImplications of Artificial Intelligence-Based Content Generators\u201d to the Board of Trustees and highlighted the potential benefits and challenges of AI for education.
