FCAP gives incoming first-year students the opportunity to participate in various volunteer and community service projects in the community prior to the start of classes.

- Become familiar with the campus prior to Welcome Weekend

Our students volunteering at the Northport VA Medical Center, cleaning up the meditation garden for our veterans suffering from PTSD. This garden is an area they can go to connect with one another, talk about their experiences, and bring peace.

Crossroad Farms is one of the closest organic farms to New York City. Our FCAP students assisted with harvesting crops, seeds and weeding.
Summer 2024 Program
FCAP will take place from Monday, August 19 to Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Past locations have included Crossroad Farms, Momma’s House, Northport VA Medical Center, Hempstead Community Center, Panther Pantry, and Community Garden.
- Resident students will have the opportunity to move into their rooms early. Check-in for resident students will be on August 18, 2024.
- Lunch and dinners are included for both resident and commuter students.
