{"id":2130,"date":"2023-07-17T10:39:42","date_gmt":"2023-07-17T14:39:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/international-services\/?page_id=2130"},"modified":"2023-07-17T10:39:42","modified_gmt":"2023-07-17T14:39:42","slug":"program-progression","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/international-services\/maintaining-valid-status\/f1-status-maintenance\/program-progression\/","title":{"rendered":"Program Progression"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>When AUI students \u201cProgress\u201d, it means they have successfully finished all program requirements for their current academic level and will be considered for admission into a new academic level or degree program.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span>Successful completion of a student\u2019s AUI program is determined by the AUI Academic Director.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span>An international student who is maintaining valid status and successfully progresses will have a 60-day grace period following their program completion date to take one of the extensions of stay actions listed below or depart the country.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span>The program completion date, used by International Services, is the last day of classes per the university <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/academics\/academic-calendar\/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw0caCBhCIARIsAGAfuMzZdr7PlMeT8CUv818e4jEB95XyR8PISDGIo64tA_TjdiXcWHhjfDwaAunZEALw_wcB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">academic calendar<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>According to Federal Law, a student cannot continue their studies or begin a new academic level without taking one of the following actions to extend their F-1 status. <\/span><span><\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Extension of Stay Options<\/h2>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse;
