Afternoon Tea

Quintessentially British—yet celebrated the world over. Hosted by International Services and the International Student Society, this is a highly anticipated event at Adelphi in which the campus community can relax and enjoy tea and sweet treats together.

The five-day festival of lights celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world is a traditional event for the Adelphi University community. Students, families, faculty, and administration alike come together to enjoy the annual rangoli contest and other welcomed activities.

East Meets West

This event takes place during International Education Week each fall to celebrate the wonders of eastern and western cultures. At this event, you can experience food from all around the world, origami, henna, Chinese calligraphy, foosball tables, photo booths, a DJ, and performances/dance workshops.

This ancient Hindu festival is also known as the Festival of Colors or the Festival of Sharing Love. At Adelphi University the tradition is celebrated on the Flagpole Lawn each spring to throw color, enjoy music from a DJ, and share food together.
