Join us this month as we spotlight the accomplishments and achievements of the Black members of our community, and learn about the many ways we are supporting change, progress and equity.
At Adelphi, we see Black History Month as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Black people in our community and around the world, giving us all an opportunity to re-commit to the ideals of social justice and equity.
From an art exhibit to a documentary screening to dialogues and public lectures among the Adelphi community, we hope to challenge, reflect, educate and help build a better future during this month of events. Please review how our office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging and our 50+ year-old African, Black and Caribbean Studies Program are leading the charge, as well as the strides we’ve made over the past decade and our continued progress.
Student Stories
To celebrate Black History Month, Adelphi students share ways the University has created space for their communities and empowered them to advocate, find their passions and be inspired by Black leadership. These videos were created by Ana Lyz Rodríguez ’22.
