Russell Safirstein

Russell Safirstein

Russell Safirstein is President and CEO of Redpoint Cybersecurity, LLC. Redpoint is a subsidiary of Anchin where he is also the Partner in Charge of Anchin Digital Risk Solutions. He is a senior executive and a progressive thinker with over 30 years of experience and has been successful in bringing non-traditional solutions to an ever-changing work environment. Russell has co-founded several organizations that specialize in AI & Machine Learning and holds several patents. Russell is a highly regarded and sought after speaker on cyber security, technology, audit and risk practices.

Prior to his current roles, Russell was a Partner for a mid-size accounting firm leading their AI and Machine Learning initiatives, in addition to their cybersecurity and risk advisory practices and President of a technology risk consultancy firm where he led the development of its AI platform. He held several Chief Audit Executive roles for several global organizations Mr. Safirstein started his career with KPMG in their Financial Institution practice after graduating from Adelphi University with a BBA in Accounting.

Mark Schlesinger

At Broadridge, Mark’s new senior staff position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer at Broadridge. While this role will be a member of the Technology Leadership Team, the main responsibilities will be focused on bridging the gap between security/technology and sales/account management, support new sales as well as renewals and expand/enhance client relationships.

Mark graduated Summa Cum Laude from Queens College, New York in 1986 with a BA in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics.

Over thirty-five years of brokerage experience in data processing. Mark held many key roles at Automatic Data Processing between 1989 and 2007:

  • Director of Systems Assurance
  • Vice President of Data Center Operations
  • Vice President of Technology Services
  • Senior Vice President and CTO responsible for Investor Communications Infrastructure and Application development
  • Senior Vice President of Systems Engineering in the ADP Corporate Engineering and Data Processing organization

Mark’s prior responsibility was the Corporate CIO for Broadridge: responsible for managing all technology infrastructure services. This includes infrastructure (data networks, voice networks, desktops, server environments, storage, monitoring, application support, service delivery, office technology), enterprise information security engineering, governance, outsource service provider management, cloud architecture and engineering, global data center operations, corporate application development, and disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Personally, married with three children and lives on Long Island. Most ‘free time’ is spent with family, playing many racket sports (squash, platform tennis, and tennis) as well as on the golf course whenever possible.

Bob Kalka

CRISC, CDPSE, FAIR, is Vice President of the IBM Security Business Unit.

Bob has been intimately involved for the past two decades in developing IBM’s overall strategy for its comprehensive security-related investments, and currently leads IBM’s global cybersecurity technical professionals. He has held a number of leadership positions in offering management, sales, product development, business development and marketing management.

He is a frequent international speaker on the relationship of business with cybersecurity, risk management, digital transformation and cognitive computing, and has had numerous papers and articles published on these topics. He also holds a United States Patent related to secure distributed computing software.

Bob received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Organizational Change and Development from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Bob also holds a certificate in strategic marketing planning from the Indiana University Graduate School of Business.

Bob is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) by ISACA, and is Certified on the Open FAIR Model for risk quantification from The Open Group.

He has served on the Cybersecurity Advisory Board for Zions Bancorporation in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is an active member of the Industry Advisory Boards for the Darwin Deason Institute for Cybersecurity in the Lyle School of Engineering at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas; the Cyber Collaborative at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California; the Department of Computing Security at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York; and the Committee on Cybersecurity for Executive Education at the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.

Bob is also a highly active musician in Austin, Texas, where he fronts several groups, spanning jazz, rock, funk, blues and worship styles.

Fred Harris

Fred Harris is a Director with Société Générale in New York and is the Head of Cybersecurity Risk, Data Risk and IT Risk for the Americas. Fred is an accomplished Technology and Risk Executive with more than 30 years of technology and cybersecurity experience in the financial services industry. Fred is renowned for improving risk cultures and risk positions thereby enabling organizations to close legacy regulatory findings. Fred is a Six Sigma Black Belt and is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) and a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE).

Before joining SG, Fred was in a similar Role at Bank of America where in his 3-year tenure, he established a Risk Framework that improved the risk culture as evidence by improvements in the risk identification and risk mitigation metrics. Prior to joining Bank of America, Fred was the Global Head of Deloitte Audit Technology Support and Operations. Fred served in a variety of internal and external client service roles during his 16-year tenure at Deloitte.

Fred received his Bachelor of Science and M.B.A. degrees from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT). Fred serves on the Advisory Board for the Ithaca College Cybersecurity Masters Certificate program and the Cybersecurity Advisory Board for OpRisk Global.
