On-Campus Quarantine and Isolation COVID-19 FAQs for Students
You will be tested toward the end of your 10-14 day quarantine. You will need to test negative for COVID-19 before you can be released from quarantine. If you test positive for COVID-19, you will be required to move into isolation. For more information, please contact Health Services by phone at 516.877.6003 or by email at email@example.com.
If you become ill while in quarantine, you must immediately contact the Health Services Center by phone at 516.877.6003 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for further guidance.
As per Nassau County, you will not be permitted outside of your room or to interact with the public. The only time permitted outside of your quarantine room will be in the event of necessary medical care.
If you are quarantined on campus, you can use your meal plan to purchase meals. Meal delivery will be coordinated by Dining Services, Residence Life and Housing, Health Services, and the Office of Public Safety. If you choose to order meals from other providers, the University will not cover these costs or reimburse you.
Resident needs, such as meal or prescription delivery, will also be coordinated by Dining Services, Residence Life and Housing, Health Services, and the Office of Public Safety. Expenses for personal needs such as textbooks or prescriptions are your responsibility.
