You will also be able to find paid micro-internship opportunities posted there\u00a0by Adelphi alumni.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Get a Paid Micro-Internship with Parker Dewey<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Access the <a href=\"http:\/\/info.parkerdewey.com\/adelphi\">Parker Dewey Adelphi site<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Click Create A Free Account<\/strong> and then at the bottom of the next page click <a href=\"https:\/\/app.parkerdewey.com\/auth\/talent\/sign-up\">If You Are a Student, Sign Up as a Career Launcher<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>After you\u2019ve created an account, you will be asked to fill out a series of questions. You have the option to connect your LinkedIn account (we recommend doing so). Fill out as much information as you can. Employers will be vetting your application in part by reviewing your history, education, skills, and qualifications as they are listed here.<\/li>\n<li>After completion of the account setup, you will be taken to the Opportunities page, where you view the list of posted micro-internships.\n<ul>\n<li>Click on Details in the lower right-hand corner to learn more about the position.<\/li>\n<li>Project start date, finish date, estimated hours, payment, and desired skills will all be listed on the left-hand side of this section to help you gauge your interest and proficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Mark the ones you are interested in as Favorites for easier filtering later on, or hide an opportunity you don\u2019t have interest in (you can undo this).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the Details expansion, you can choose to apply for an opportunity. When you apply, you will be taken to a page that will ask you a series of questions:\n<ul>\n<li>Why do you think you would be a good fit for this position?<\/li>\n<li>Other questions may be asked, and will vary based on the nature of the project.<\/li>\n<li>When you are answering the questions, submit your application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You will be able to see your listings of project applications under the <strong>Applied<\/strong> tab at the top, and a listing of projects for which you have been <strong>Hired<\/strong> and those that you have <strong>Completed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You can view and respond to any messages in the <strong>Messages<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>How to Get an Unpaid Micro-Internship with Handshake<\/h2>\n<p>Most unpaid <strong>Micro-Internships<\/strong> postings are put up directly by employers, but students with qualifying Federal Work-Study as part of their financial aid package may also be able to get paid for specific Micro-Internship programs offered through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/career-center\/finding-employment\/internship\/panthers-with-a-purpose\/\">Panthers with a Purpose<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/adelphi.joinhandshake.com\/\">Log in to Handshake<\/a>. This can also be done via eCampus.<\/li>\n<li>Select Jobs<\/li>\n<li>On the job page, you can click <strong>internship<\/strong> to filter by all internships.<\/li>\n<li>Here you can browse all internships for anything that includes \u201cMicro-Internship\u201d in the title.<\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, you\u2019re able to search for \u201cMicro-Internship\u201d in the search bar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Students will apply for Micro-Internships via Handshake by selecting Internships and looking for those postings with the words Micro-Internship in the title.
